Zoe was a real sweetheart of a cat....to her family. She didn't really care
for strangers too much. We rescued her from a shelter when she was just 6
weeks old and could fit in the palm of my hand. Zoe was on chemo for more
than half of her life for a condition called Polycythemia. She also
suffered with feline asthma. The prognosis for Polycythemia in cats is not a good
one. All of the vets were surprised how well she had done on the chemo and
how long she had endured with this disease. Although we only had her for
just over 8 years, that hardly seems enough time for me, I suppose with her
condition, we were lucky to have her as long as we did. We will always miss
her quiet ways and gentle headbutts.
