Our dearest Maximillian lost his most courageous and valiant battle with cancer in my arms on January 14, 2010 after having survived 5 1/2 months when his original prognosis for life was 3 weeks on August 1st. We are so proud of Max's will to live and courage to fight and are so saddened and devastated by his departure. Through his life he gave us many lessons and gifts, but most of all we are thankful he shared his life and love with us. Our oncologist whom we were very close to sent this lovely candle to memorialize our dearest Maximillian and we are forever grateful as we continue to look for ways to honor his life. This light burns bright just as Max did his entire life, even while battling cancer and outliving his prognosis - he acted quite himself and ran around and enjoyed life to its fullest. Thank you for giving us such a personalized and unique gift - we light a candle nightly for our Maximillian.
